Taylor Stilwagner’s desk is on a corner of the third floor that you can’t miss. And you wouldn’t want to. It’s decorated with a mixture of fun and handcrafted items. The admissions services representative (ASR) says his design inspiration is simple, “I use items that I don’t have enough walls for at home.” He explained the results creates a workspace that feels like an extension of home.
A blue calendar hangs on one of the walls of Stilwagner’s cubicle, located at Irvine’s central office. “I used paint chips from Lowes and a picture frame to make that,” he said. He also thanked Pinterest for the inspiration. Another wall is adorned with modernized Mickey Mouse artwork. (As many participating in Brandman’s Wellness walking challenge may know, Stilwagner is a Disney season pass holder. That’s how he racks so many steps in the challenge.) Tiki lights are also strung near his computer giving a nod to Disney’s tiki room and providing warm lighting.
“I really appreciate the creative license Brandman gives employees. It gives us just another reason to enjoy what we do,” said Stilwagner. The Brandman Admission Star award that sits at his desk may also show that Stilwagner, who has worked at Brandman for just over a year, not only likes his job but also great at it.
