Members of the Antelope Valley campus joined with fellow building tenant Sierra Medical Group and building owner RB&L to co-host a mixer for both the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and the Palmdale Chamber of Commerce.
“The joint mixer gave everyone an opportunity to network with members of both chambers,” said Norma Contreras, campus director for Antelope Valley. Corporate and Community Relations Manager Kitty Calhoun said, “It seems our event was a hit. I’ve heard nothing but wonderful comments from both chambers. I believe we have set a precedence for holding join chamber super events.”
Calhoun said the location and the size of the room they used gave the more than 50 people who attended a room to mingle and enjoy refreshments. Calhoun also handed out a questionnaire asking what kinds of support the campus and Sierra Medical Group could provide including conference room space, health screenings, job fairs and professional development courses.
The three co-hosts received Certificates of Recognition from both chambers.
