“The Cannabis Conversation Every HR Professional Needs to Hear,” a webinar on how new recreational and medicinal cannabis use laws affect workplaces and the roles of human resources professionals, will be held on Wednesday, May 17, at noon. The program includes information about Brandman University’s Master of Science in Human Resources (MSHR) program.
Speakers Nina Woodard and Robbin Lynn will address concerns about honoring legal use for a medical need while maintaining workplace integrity and security.
Woodard is president of Nina E. Woodard & Associates. She uses customized executive coaching and strategic business and human resources consulting. Her background includes leadership roles in practical day-to-day activity as well as significant change initiatives. In addition to her consulting work, she serves as a lecturer at California State University, San Marcos, Brandman University, and San Diego State University.
Lynn has an MBA and is an active member of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians. An educator, advocate and activist, she promotes the benefits of cannabis as a means to achieving symptom relief and living a legal, pharmaceutical-free lifestyle. Since 2012, she has been co-owner and general manager of RX-C, a medical cannabis dispensary in Southern California.
Kathleen Bates, associate professor in the School of Business and Professional Studies, will explain Brandman’s updated master’s program in human resources that aligns with new laws, policies and issues facing workplaces.
